Unlock Bonus Movie

To unlock the bonus movie, get all three endings (poor, average, and best) by successfully passing all of the episodes, including the alternate ones. This extra movie is just for fun, and it shows Masterson and Nick doing something silly at the Gulag Club.

Collect Thirty(30) of the Golden dog bones form around town.

Show nick's coordinates

Change Nick's Car Color

When making a license plate, hold L + R and press DOWN and UP to cycle through all the colors. (The color of the horizontal bar represents the color the car will have.)

Hop the Lowrider

When using the hydraulics, lift the front of the car (using LEFT and RIGHT) and tap A, A to make the car hop.

Quick And Easy Good Cop Points

If you want to earn good cop points quickly, go to a street called Rose Ave. in Venice. All of the people walking on that street are usually either carrying drugs or guns. Simply walk up to anyone on that street and frisk them and you'll bust them. (Rose Ave. is the street by the beach and in directly on the "N" in the title Venice on the map; you can look up the map from the start menu).

Cheat mode:

At the map screen, press Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, A. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. All bonuses will be unlocked. Note: This code also disables upgrade missions.

All upgrades:

At the map screen, press Up, Left, Down, Left, Up, A. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound.

All unarmed upgrades:

At the map screen, press Up, Down, Up, Down, A. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Note: Enabling this code will prevent the training missions from being accessible.

All driving upgrades:

Play as Snoop Dogg:

At the map screen, press R, L, Up, Right, Left, Down, click Left Analog-stick, click Right Analog-stick, A, X, B, Y. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Immediately save the game before exiting to the main menu. Then, go to the mission selection screen and find a mission with Snoop's head at the top. Enter those missions to play as Snoop Dogg. To change back to Nick Kang, select a mission with Nick's head at the top. Alternately, collect all 30 bones during a game to unlock Snoop Dogg. Note: They are marked in yellow on the map.

Play as a bum:

Enter symbols on license plate:

When entering your name on the license plate when starting a new game file, hold L + R and tap the D-pad Left or Right to input symbols.

Select car color:

When entering a name on a license plate, hold L + R, and press Left Analog-stick Up or Left Analog-stick Down to change the color of the strip below the plate. The color you leave it on when you enter the name is the color of your car.

Control title screen:

Do the following at the title screen to the change the background. Press Right Analog-stick Left or Right Analog-stick Right to move the background horizontally. Press Right Analog-stick Up to advance time. Press L2 or R2 to change the color saturation.

Snoop lowrider hydraulics:

Press Left or Right while in the lowrider on a Dogg Patrol special mission to change the ride height.

Hopping Snoop's lowrider:

Press Left or Right on the D-pad to lift the front of the car. Then, double tap A to

get the car to hop. The height of the hop depends on how you are tapping the button.

Bandit Never Been Apprehended mission:

When the street crime mission is to bust the criminal "Bandit Never Been Apprehended" be ready to fire. Every time he pretends to surrender, he will fire. Note: If you do not want the Good Cop rating to go down, take out your guns and wait for him to pretend to give up and fire at you once, so that you have a reason to kill him.

Escaping car enemies on missions:

When you are supposed to flee from other cars shooting at you, look for big open spaces like the Staples Center parking lot and drive through them. The people chasing you will stay on the road and go all the way around, giving you a good chance to escape.

Blow up cars easily:

Drive up behind a car and hold R to go into "bullet time". Then, aim at the license plate and fire. Most of the time it will take a single shot. For cargo trucks, aim under the passenger side and slightly to the back and fire. This makes stopping street racers and other people easy.

Stop carjackings:

When your enemy is escaping by stealing a getaway car, kick them when they are pulling out the victim to stop them.

Spotting illegal drugs:

To avoid wasting time frisking innocents, look for people that walk differently.

Restore health:

Learn where the impound garages are located. When you get low on health, just visit the garage. You will not only get a fresh car, your health will be full again.

More damage:

When an opponent is dazed, you can hit them hard into the wall with a finisher to do even more damage.

Deadly knife throw:

In some situations when a enemy drops a knife, you can pick it and throw it. If thrown correctly, it will impale their forehead, killing them.

Increasing Cop rank:

Go around checking everyone for drugs and weapons to get +1 Good Cop. Also, go to the Hancock Park area in the middle of the map. On a street corner at 2nd and Citrus Ave, you can frisk just about anyone close to or moving to the intersection and almost always finds drugs or weapons on them. Additionally, to increase your Good or Bad Cop rating easily, replay a stealth mission and choose your attack accordingly.

S.W.A.T. team:

To get the S.W.A.T. team on you, kill a number of civilians (about thirty). The S.W.A.T. team will come after you in black vans.

Break fence:

If you are stuck behind a fence that can be broken but do not have a car to break it with, Run at it and press B. This will cause you to dive through the fence, breaking it and freeing yourself.

Get past fence:

When in a blocked off place with a fence on the other side, go up to it and face it. Do not press any buttons. The game will put you back on the other side within five seconds. It is easier to do this than hit the fence and not get through.

Movie reference:

In the game, there is a sign that reads "True Crime: Streets Of L.A.: The Movie, Fall 2005".

Defeating General Kim:

When fighting General Kim, use a low kick followed by a block or another kick. When he is stunned, press B, X, A, Y to perform a super attack which will do more damage than a normal grapple. It is possible to roll through the railing once it is broken.

Defeating Wu's dragon:

When the dragon is about to use his fire attack, use you manual aim to shoot it in the mouth, thus avoiding its fire and tail attacks. Note: Do not bother trying to shoot him while he is swimming in the lava.

Defeating zombie during Wu's mission:

After beating up the chefs, a zombie will appear. Go near a stove and kick it. Hopefully, you have not destroyed it while fighting the chefs. The stove will explode and both of you will catch fire. The zombie will get greater damage than you. Repeat this with the second stove. If the zombie is still alive, knock him into the fire. Note: It is not possible to kill the zombie with physical attacks.
